1 Indian Lilac or Neem

If you haven’t heard of Indian lilac, then its time you did. All you need to do is ask for neem in a store selling Indian herbal products, there are neem based soaps and shampoos too. Alternately you can get a bunch of neem leaves, boil it in water and rinse your hair with the solution thrice a week. Indian lilac is an anti fungal and anti bacterial agent and can well reduce your dandruff problem.
2 Coconut Oil and Olive Oil

Among home remedies for dandruff, both these oils are nature’s best remedy for hair. Coconut oil due to its antifungal properties makes it an effective dandruff deterrent where the mixture of olive oil and coconut oil moisturizes the skin and strengthens your hair with the essential nutrients present in both.
Massage your hair with a mixture of coconut and olive oil. Leave on for half an hour after wish you can shampoo your hair with a medicated selenium shampoo. Repeat three times a week and see the difference.

Aspirin is one of the remedies for dandruff contains salicylic acid, the exact same ingredient in anti dandruff shampoos. You can easily control the dandruff flaking by using the powder of two crushed aspirin tablets mixed into your regular shampoo. To get the best results, massage your scalp while doing so and leave on for 5 minutes. Then rinse your hair a second time with a plain mild shampoo.
4 Lemon Juice

Make a solution of 1 teaspoon lemon juice in 1 small cup of water. Rinse your hair with this solution everyday till the dandruff is controlled. The acid in lime helps control the Ph balance of the skin on your scalp.
5 Baking Soda

Among remedies for dandruff, baking soda contains exfoliating properties which removes the dead skin cells from your scalp. It also absorbs all the excess oil and helps regulate the Ph balance of your skin. This prevents fungus growing on the scalp which creates dandruff.
You can rub a small bowl of baking soda on your scalp, keep it on for a few minutes and then rinse thoroughly with water. Do not shampoo your hair after this remedy. Repeat once a week.
6 Aloe Vera Gel

It soothes your scalp, controls the fungal infection and even reduces the itchy sensation caused by dandruff.
5 teaspoons of aloe era gel massaged into your hair for 30 minutes should do the trick. After that you can just rinse off with water or a mild shampoo.
7 Tea Tree Oil

Like coconut and olive oil, certain oils are good remedies for dandruff a lot. The medicinal properties of tea tree oil in controlling skin infections have been known for centuries. Tee tree oil is great for burns and cuts as well. In dandruff it can act as an anti fungal agent, it also soothes the skin while reducing itching. However ensure you never ingest tea tree oil as it isn’t a substance to be used internally.
1 tablespoon of tea tree oil in a cup of warm water should be applied all over your scalp after you shampoo your hair. Keep it on for 5 minutes, don’t rinse with water but just remove any excess moisture from your scalp. Do this twice or thrice a week till your dandruff disappears.
