Australian Company Develops Virus That Can Kill All Types of Cancers
Australian company says it has developed a virus to kill all types of cancers and will star human trials soon.
Cancer by far is one of the worst conditions to afflict man because it isn’t just one disease but a collective term of a malignant degeneration and mutation of our cells of every organ that makes the disease such a dreaded one that.

Fortunately due to medical technology, we are slowly inching closer to winning the battle against cancer. We are closer to saving millions from various cancers’ that plague the human body. The latest news is that one Australian company has gone as far as to develop a virus to kill every type of cancers.
A virus to fight cancer is not illogical

Yes, if that sounds a miracle, then it isn’t because it is very real, several people may be sceptical because of the mighty hand of cancer getting the better of humans. Moreover, there will be doubts expressed s to how can a virus being disease fight a disease? But then scientist has been researching this very concept for year and now it seems that some have gained a huge measure of success.
If it sounds hype, then there is a modified form of the herpes virus that is being used as an effective treatment against various types of skin cancer. It was cowpox the viral disease that affected cows that served as a source to develop the first small pox vaccine for humans. Thus the concept of using viruses to kill disease isn’t illogical because cancers are after all cell mutations but they are largely part of a human cell which can get affected by a virus.
The virus will be developed from the cowpox virus

It is the same cowpox that scientists are engineering and using as a basis for a treatment named CF33 to treat cancer. Mice trials have been successful where cancer cells in mice were reduced and now the Australian biotech company Imugene hopes to start human trails very soon. The main scientists responsible for the discovery are US cancer expert Professor Yuman Fong who will plan out the human trials.
Human trials will start soon

The human trials will be conducted in Australia and include patients from different countries suffering from triple negative breast cancer, lung cancer, melanoma, bladder, gastric and bowel cancer. Speaking to a newspaper professor Fong said "There was evidence that viruses could kill cancer from the early 1900s when people vaccinated against rabies had their cancer disappear, they went into remission. The problem was if you made the virus toxic enough to kill cancer you were worried it would also kill man."
The Professor believes that the virus concoction will be safe for humans and is going to be the best way to target and kill all types of cancers tumors. In the human trials, patients will have the virus directly injected into their tumors in hope for the virus to multiply where it will burst out of the tumour killing it in the process.
Some are sceptical

Chief of the Cancer Council professor Sanchia Aranda says “When it is tested in a human we will see whether the immune system mounts a defence against the virus and knocks it off before it gets to the cancer or there could be nasty side effects. Cancer cells are very clever, they are true Darwinians that mutate to survive and there is a likelihood they will evolve to become resistant to the virus as they do now to become resistant to chemotherapy and immunotherapy”
All said and done Professor Fong is hopeful that his treatment will see success with his virus to kill every type of cancer and we hope sees success.
